The Wars

Game Review: The Wars

The Wars by Clickgamer.com

In The Wars, you play one of two warring factions for domination of your iPhone's screen! Your faction resides on the left side of the screen while the enemies base is on the right. The game has an interesting approach, you start off in prehistoric times, training units with clubs, or rock throwers, and mammoths -> giant robots, shock troopers, and other smaller robots.
It's definitely a different game, I've never played anything else like it. To win the game you have to destroy the enemy base (there's a red health bar on the top right and left of the screen for each base respectively). You're also given a special weapon button which will launch various full screen attacks on your enemies (comes in handy quite often, especially if you are being overrun by enemy soldiers, as it can tip the scales in your favor and there is a timer on it).

The good: Interesting concept, decent graphics, sounds and music.
The bad: After I beat the computer on easy, I didn't really see all that much in retrying or improving my scores, not that much lasting appeal.
The breakdown: This game ($0.99) is a slight challenge at times and is fairly fun the first time through. After beating the computer I really can't see a reason to continue playing. For being fun the first run through I'm going to give The Wars a 3/5
